Our Story
Born into a lineage steeped in musical tradition, Kaw Secka inherited a profound love for music from his father, the esteemed cultural ambassador of their town, Alh Ebou Secka.
Hailing from the vibrant village of Njawara in the Lower Badibou district , The Gambia, he was introduced to the rhythmic world of percussion.
He started Kawson

He started Kawson Band in 2024 to entertain, educate and inspire Youth in the diaspora to be proud of the rich heritage of the Senegambian culture
and connect with their roots.

Our mission is to provide exceptional music experiences that exceed our audiences' expectations. We strive to create a fun and engaging atmosphere for everyone involved, leaving lasting memories for years to come.
In the coming years, we hope to provide drumming & dance workshops bi-annually in addition to top quality music performances for events of all sizes.
